Simon Benfrech, CFA

· Simon is a Senior Director in WTW’s Executive Compensation and Board Advisory practice with more than 13 years of experience advising boards, compensation committees, and HR leaders on pay strategy, governance, and incentive design. He works across industries—including tech, higher education, not-for-profit, retail, consumer brands, and financial services—with a focus on aligning pay with performance, peer group construction, incentive calibration, and regulatory compliance.
· Simon brings deep expertise in competitive benchmarking, custom plan design, and navigating complex organizational structures, including public, private, pre-IPO, and not-for-profit organizations.
· Based in San Diego, Simon is passionate about helping organizations attract and retain key talent through thoughtful, data-driven compensation strategy. He also serves as a volunteer Board Member of the Compensation and Benefits Association of San Diego

Alex Mejia, MBA

· Alex Mejia is a Manager in WTW’s Executive Compensation and Board Advisory consulting practice based out of San Diego. Prior to joining WTW in October of 2024, Alex has worked at companies such as Anderson Pay Advisors, Deloitte and KPMG providing executive compensation and broad base consulting services.
· With six+ years of experience consulting with clients nationally, Alex has focused her work on executive and non-employee director pay benchmarking, incentive design, and pre-IPO readiness. She has worked with management and compensation committees of public and private organizations in industries such life sciences, technology, retail, financial services and higher-ed.
